About shani

My mission is to support creative women of color who are going their own way.

I am a coach and strategist dedicated to empowering women of color across diverse creative fields—design, arts, tech, and film. I specialize in career and business growth coaching, focusing on helping you focus your vision and take on more meaningful and expansive work while keeping your well-being intact.

I envision a world where every creative woman of color has the opportunity, clarity, and confidence to succeed and make a meaningful impact in any way they choose to work.

I have 10+ yrs of experience working as an independent creative, within small and large creative firms, and hiring creative firms as an entrepreneur and a corporate client. This gives me a unique understanding of both sides of the equation: what it takes to sell and deliver creative services and how clients hire and work with creatives.

I attended undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania and graduate school at Boston Architectural College. I’m a certified coach through the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute. Fun fact: Though I was extremely nervous when I got the offer, taking the gig as a Forbes contributor in 2017 was inspired by Shonda Rhimes’ book Year of Yes.
